Hi Everyone
I am VaughanZA, currently reside in South Africa. For many years I have used Linux on and off; switching between Windows and Mac OS X. Used to be a big Suse fan from back when it was still Suse 7.2 Pro and eventually moved onto Ubuntu.
I have used Linux Mint a couple of times before, however the latest Cinnamon version is quite excellent.
Currently struggling at work with Fedora 18 (shivers) spending half my time fixing the OS; I have already migrated my laptop on Mint 14, next will be my Desktop Machine/TV PC at home and then finally my work machine.
I look forward to getting to know the community and assist in any way possible.
All my best
VaughanZA

The idea that Bill Gates has appeared like a knight in shining armour to lead all customers out of a mire of technological chaos neatly ignores the fact that it was he who, by peddling second-rate technology, led them into it in the first place.

Welcome!
Thank you for this thread. That’s all I can say. You most definitely have made this forum into something special. You clearly know what you are doing, you’ve covered so many bases. Thanks!

Thanks for the welcomes; I couldn't survive any longer with Fedora 18 (4 days enough).
Granted I realise it is a cutting edge distro; which is incredibly quick. However the general support and stablity I will rather stick with Mint
