Greetings
I've been a Linux user since Red Hat 5.3. Switched to Ubuntu when it started up and have now switched to Mint. I installed LMDE. I didn't like the intrusive nature of Unity or the general direction Ubuntu was going. The mint install was as smooth as silk. Everything seems to work out of the box so far. This is the first hour of use. Fast and easy so far. Thanks Mint developers and community for keeping the vision alive. It feels more like home.

G'day, and welcome.

Re: Greetings
A little late for my reply but I must say thanks for the welcome and I'm starting to feel very much back into the Linux world with my LMDE and Mint Mate systems.

Hello Oxman,
I guess I'm a little late myself but welcome to Mint forums.
I've been using Mint since version 9 and I must say its my favorite distro.
I started using linux with fedora 4, and test new distros now and then, but Mint is my favorite.
Hope you enjoy using Mint, there are a lot of good people here, helpful too.
