Hi, I am new here as Mint (and Linux) are new to me. I am not IT specialist, just love to tinker and I am especially big fan of Lenovo laptops (and believe or not my Lenovo P770 smart phone has stand by time 6-7 days with both SIM cards "on"). I have many Lenovo laptops and love them all.
I have just built Lenovo Z60m laptop (Pentium M 2.16Ghz, 2GB RAM, Intel 330SSD+Seagate Momentus 750GB/7200) and installed Mint16 - I am just typing on that beauty. Love that older, sturdy, well built Lenovos.
I hope to get some help regarding printer and express cards: I installed my HP Laserjet P1006 but it does not print which is very disappointing. As I said I have no any knowledge about Linux-I need quick and easy solution to print...? I am even happy to go and by some laser printer that will install automatically and work instantly on Mint16 - anybody can recommend which printer would that be ?
Also, I would like to use my express card slot on this Lenovo Z60m, probably to have more USB ports or USB+eSata. No idea which card to buy so that I can fit it and it will work instantly ?
