Hi, my name is Hermanus,antickd have use Windows for years. But got sick from different problems ans slow service.
I have worked with Unix in the 90’s but forgot a lot of commands,and I love the whole setup in LinuxMint. Have no problems except one, the program do not read my USB Stick.
In Mint16 no problems but I have installed Mint17.
Try most every thing and looked on the net but no hope, is there some one out there that can help me,Ihave Documents on the stick.
Forgot, was born in Holland,have lived in Australia, USA and now I lIVE IN Germany. Ad do not ask my age......smile old but love the know all new things and I’M Love to go with the time and not creap in a dark corner, the are so much things to learn and keeps you young....
So please, help me how I do that Mint see my USB stick and I do not mind you email me, Thank you all and have a nice Sunny week.

Welcome to Linux Mint.
I assume you tried to use the USB ports on the back of your computer first, and the USB drive should be formatted with FAT32.
You can try to manually mount it. Check the instructions in the article in the link below. Go to the section “Manually Mounting”:
