Thank you very very much Linux Mint Team!

Post by yigit »

i have just installed linux mint 17 cinnamon edition on my hdd and i love it very much!

before installation i have read a few how-to-install tutorial...and installation was so easy...i have always scared of it would be hard and risky and never success it was quick and partitioning hdd was easy also... my old os was a pirated windows 7 and i erased its partition and created boot home swap partitions...... installed in less than 15 mintues...

mint detected my graphic card and installed the driver without any problem...

than i wanted to install oracle java se and followed a tutorial - just copied and pasted a bunch o code on console.... without any problem...

and mint detected my hp deskjet ink 2060 printer and installed... printer works without any problem...

mint has all software i need: office suite, music player, video player, thunderbird, gimp (which i dont think that i will need) etc.... and i installed a few software via software manager easily....

i have never thought that it would be so easy and fun.... it is the first time that i have my own os on my computer.....

( my one and only problem is on firefox, google search bar by the address bar doesnt give any auto suggestion... )

and they are all free! this is the biggest surprise...

for now all i can say is: thank you very much all the developers of mint project...

take care and have a nice day...

Welcome to the Mint family forums

The idea that Bill Gates has appeared like a knight in shining armour to lead all customers out of a mire of technological chaos neatly ignores the fact that it was he who, by peddling second-rate technology, led them into it in the first place.
