Thought I would pop in and say hello, I bought a new desktop a few weeks ago and decided to try Linux Mint. I genuinely cannot believe how good it is and shall definitely be making a donation to the cause and probably several newbie type questions along the way.

Welcome to the forums! It's pretty fast, isn't it? What a "real" operating system should look and perform like imho. If you expect to be asking questions, maybe read some of this. Especially the part about "Details! Details! Details!".
