Hi there!

Post by lollapalooza »

I'm a new user from Italy.

I've been playin' around with some Linux distros in the past (Mandriva, Backtrack, Kubuntu, QI, SimpleMepis, Mint13 and I forget some for sure) but I finally found fully functionality with Mint 17.2.
Still a damn' newbie though, in the last week I've performed around 8 or 9 fresh installations because of various hangs up, due to my old machine mostly (an old but handsome IBM brought back from the cellar.)

Happy to be part of the Mint community and ready to learn new stuff!

Welcome to the family, and Happy Minting!

Breaking your system is the fastest way to learning it... I can't even remember how many reinstalls I've done.

The idea that Bill Gates has appeared like a knight in shining armour to lead all customers out of a mire of technological chaos neatly ignores the fact that it was he who, by peddling second-rate technology, led them into it in the first place.

Thanks for the advice.
I've already done it, when I opened a thread a couple of days ago about an old GeForce4 and Mint 17.2.
Then I remembered to lurk moar, found the solution by myself and erased the thread.
