Hello :)

Post by Twinn »

I would like to say hello to all Linux Mint family :)

I`m long time Windows user (since early 90`s) but I`ve decided that after so many years, it`s time to learn something new and on 01/11/15 I`ve installed Linux Mint. It`s only 2 days of using it but I have to say I already fell in love with it :D Of course it`s hard at start as the amount of knowledge to gain is huge but I`m doing progress quite fast. I`ve got few problems with hardware, but thanks to this great forum, all were solved today and everything is working great (at least for now). I still have Win 10 on other hdd, but I have to admit, I didn`t even start it since I installed Mint :D I got sucked in immediately and I really enjoy every minute spent with it! :)

I still need way more time with it, especially that obviously Linux works a bit differently than Win and some things which were obvious there are not obvious here (and vice versa), but because I`m huge Android fan for years (and beta tester on XDA-Dev), it`s bit easier for me to get around Mint ;) Only thing which I regret is that I waited so many years to start my adventure with Linux... It really is not that complicated as I thought ;)

Anyway, I will try to get the best use of knowledge on these forums and I promise that when I will reach "Pro level", I will definitely contribute to the community! And You all can be sure that I won`t ask too many questions, only if I won`t find solution to my problem (after deep and long search for answers) ;)

Ps. Sorry for my english, it`s not my native language but I hope you understood ;)

Welcome to the Mint family forums

The idea that Bill Gates has appeared like a knight in shining armour to lead all customers out of a mire of technological chaos neatly ignores the fact that it was he who, by peddling second-rate technology, led them into it in the first place.
