Greeting from Copenhagen

Post by jrj » Sat Jan 23, 2016 7:51 am

Hi All

Just wanted to introduce myself. I have just taken the jump - and after many halfhearted attempts finally switched to Linux for 100% workload at home. Windows have been fully deleted, still have a Win7 in a VM - you know just in case. I'm not a Microsoft/Windows hater - i just didn't feel at home with Windows10, and didn't personally like the path they are moving with offering it free in exchange for your telemetry data. I do understand that this i just one choice of business model, and understand people who are willing to accept this due to convenience - it just not for me.
I have decided that instead of continuing to be lazy - i will take this as an oppotunity to learn new things.
I will be happy to help and share my experiences - with my fellow newbies.

/JRJ

Welcome to the Mint family forums

The idea that Bill Gates has appeared like a knight in shining armour to lead all customers out of a mire of technological chaos neatly ignores the fact that it was he who, by peddling second-rate technology, led them into it in the first place.

Welcome, jrj. My two fondest childhood memories are of your city: Tivoli and the VeloSolex bicycle.
