G'day everyone.
I've decided to switch from XP Pro to Linux Mint Cinnamon Edition. I've downloaded the ISO, put it on a Lexar USB drive and got it going once on a borrowed laptop. It looks great!
Unfortunately, the laptop I'm trying to get Mint to work on permanently looks like it's the hardest one to use...
It's a HP 6730b, so I think I'll be asking for a lot of help, LOL!
Now I shall start reading through all the relevant threads and see how I go.
G'day!

Welcome aboard, Shidifen! I googled for that model number, and didn't come across anything that led me to believe it would be hard to use. But maybe you know something that I don't?

Re: G'day!
Hi jimallyn. I've used Tails with the same laptop and I've had quite a few problems. Booting was a hit and miss affair with that so I was expecting a few problems with Mint as well. Mint doesn't boot at all on this computer but, like Tails, works fine on a HP 6710b.jimallyn wrote:Welcome aboard, Shidifen! Interesting. My guess would be that if you were to post in the appropriate forums section, somebody could help you solve that.Shidifen wrote:Mint doesn't boot at all on this computer
