Greetings Everyone....
Linux is a new experience for me, I've always been a windows user.
So I've decided to give Linux Mint a whirl. I've installed it on old Dell Laptop that was running Win XP Pro,
So far it's been pretty cool, the laptop is old and doesn't have a lot of memory, but over all I think Linux is gonna be
a cool experience.....
Greetings

Welcome Thom1! I think you'll really enjoy Mint. I too am an old Windows user and I'm loving Mint.

Linux core will run quite happily with 500kb ram,I find mint is at it's best with 2mb, anything over that for general computing is a waste.the laptop is old and doesn't have a lot of memory,

Pretty sure he means 500 megs of RAM, and 2 gigs of RAM.The-Wizard wrote:Linux core will run quite happily with 500kb ram,I find mint is at it's best with 2mb, anything over that for general computing is a waste.
