Hello All

Post by Scottish guy »

Hi there. New Mint user from Scotland. I have seen the light. Swapped windows for Mint 18.2 and can't believe how good it is. It feels so much better than windows and its all free. Wish I had done this years ago. :D

Welcome aboard, Scottish guy! I can't tell you how many times I have seen a post like yours on the forums. Many. The only difference between your post and the others I have seen is that most of them specifically mention Win10, calling it "the last straw." Most users don't have any problems after installing Mint, but if you do have any problems, don't hesitate to ask questions in the appropriate area of the forums. This is a pretty friendly forum, and there are some absolutely brilliant people here who can solve just about any problem you might have.

Thanks for the welcome everyone. A few days now with Mint and all is good. No problems at all. One thing that amazes me is the speed by which Mint starts up and closes. A few seconds and the jobs done. I'm never going back to Windows..
