Grateful

Post by Anaconda » Mon Aug 14, 2017 7:07 pm

I just bought a new HP laptop and installed LM 18.2 with Cinnamon. I had an issue with the wireless only working if I was very close to the router so I looked on the forums here and found a solution that worked perfectly. It's now 100% working properly thanks to JeremyB.

I had tried a couple of other non-working solutions from other sources before landing here, and I basically signed up so I could bump the post with the fix and thank the guy who posted it.

Hi, Anaconda

I'm glad you found a solution. Welcome to Mint, too!

Cheers.

Welcome to the Mint family forums.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys.

FYI I've use Mint & Cinnamon before but it has been a while. I was off in Debian land using LXDE and Xfce on my high horsepower desktop. That one is locked up in storage at the moment and Mint-Cinnamon seemed like a good fit for the new laptop.
