Introducing myself

Post by xh1 » Thu Aug 17, 2017 9:44 pm

Hi,

I have been using a Mac for the past thirty years, more due to my dislike to Windows than any other reason. Back in 2001 I tried to dabble with RedHat Linux and realized that although it was fun, it was no substitute to my Mac/OS X - I needed I work tool.

I'm looking to becoming free from Mac and OS X, learn what I need about Linux, and go back to work, which is writing articles about spirituality, mysticism and beyond.

I appreciate joining this fine group and thank you all in advance for your help and good will.

Welcome to the Mint family forums.

Most problems already have a fix
search
read
ask
If you need to ask please copy and paste the result of terminal code inxi -Fnx with your question
And take your time to avoid disappointment.

The idea that Bill Gates has appeared like a knight in shining armour to lead all customers out of a mire of technological chaos neatly ignores the fact that it was he who, by peddling second-rate technology, led them into it in the first place.

Hi and welcome to Mint and the forums.
learn what I need about Linux, and go back to work
It may feel like a giant step--but I predict you will come up to speed rather quickly,
and this forum will be a great asset.
Go for it!
