Hello Everybody!

Post by intelquadcore_joe »

Hello everyone! :)

I've been reading these forums ever since I installed LM 18.1 and found answers to
all technical problems I've had (only minor stuff), and learned a lot from reading
other people's posts (especially users Pjotr's and Xenopeek's posts) :)

Now I'd like to try to give something back to the community, perhaps by helping
other new users with their Linux Mint problems if I am able :)

About 5 months ago I decided that I wanted to try out Linux, mainly because I wanted
to take up programming again (for fun) and try something other than Windows.

After trying Ubunt I found out about Linux Mint and tried the Xfce version, which worked
almost perfectly for my low-powered computer. So now I'm running 18.1 Xfce and I'm very
happy with the experience :D

I've had so much fun learning how to use Linux and I'm amazed at the quantity and quality
of Free & Open Source software, something I wasn't aware of at all before :)
