Simon from Brisbane says HI!

Post by saimonc »

Hi... (as I said)... I'm an older guy who is keen to be a part of the open source community and have therefore moved over to Linux and Libre Office, etc. I always recommend them as a normal part of daily life. (Of course there are many other areas of life apart from technology to 'transition' to that are community oriented, but I won't go into them here.)
I have I'd say a working knowledge of computers and software that gets me by - probably moreso than most my age, but there are of course many men my age who are VERY skilled in the area. I rely on them a lot for in-person assistance. I wish I could do more to support the community by contributing technically, but it's not my area. I struggle to use Terminal. A bit of financial support, but mainly advertising is how I help.

Keep up the good work you all.

Hi from another Oldie, welcome to the wonderful world Of Mint - you won't regret coming here - Don't worry too much about the terminal as you don't have to use it that much - just get on and enjoy using Mint and any questions this is a great place to ask them, as I have found out
