Hello World!

Postby ThoughtCriminal » Tue Oct 24, 2017 6:34 am

Hi,

I've just recently decided to register with the forums and join the on-line Linux Mint community. I've been using different distributions of Linux for over 10 years, Debian and Ubuntu based systems have been my main preference. I would have to describe myself as a power user. I am usually able to get my work done and if stuck look to Google, someone usually will have had a similar problem.

I am interested in Programming, application and system. I've got myself a copy of "The Linux Programming Interface" from nostarch.com and am getting up to speed on all things C. The goal at the moment is to finish the book. Hopefully when finished I am able to look at the bug list and help out.

I'm a mature aged Tertiary Student studying a Bachelor of Information Technology at RMIT in Melbourne Australia. Study and coding take up most of my time. My pet cat often becomes my study buddy and joins me on the desk.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to getting involved in this community and helping out and meeting new people.
