I've been running Linux Mint 17.3 "Rosa" for over a year on this ancient laptop of mine. I got the laptop free because it was so clogged with crap and Windows issues. I bought a Linux magazine that had an installation disk included. It was a very easy install and it has been working great. I love it so much that I've done some donating to the cause.
Right now, I'm having trouble updating Firefox...I'm a dunce so that's where the issue lies; not the software.
Anyway, I'm a happy Linux operator!
