I am new to Mint though familiar with RedHat variations since I setup my first Linux system with RedHat 4.1 around 1999.
I was looking for a modern "upgradeable" Linux version that would run on an old Fedora server I have re-purposed to a general web and downloading machine.
I tried many flavors of Lubuntu along the way only to find none of them had any browser compatible with this old system - 32-bit,2x 800MHz Pentium III with 1GB RAM.
I was about to give up when I found Mint MATE version seems to work OK with an older version of Opera that I found. I am very impressed with MINT.
