Another new member

Post by Pippin »

Hi,

Not my first post... Kaaskop Pippin here from The Netherlands. :)
I`m not completely new to linux, somewhere between novice and intermediate, used Debian of and on for some time, a linux based NAS, linux based satellite receivers, etc. and since a few days switched to Mint. Mainly because my son shows interest in trying linux, so I think Mint is a good candidate for him.

Now have a dual boot W7/Mint laptop and next week will install it on my sons desktop.
I guess there will be some difficulties because of the video card, we`ll see...

I gloomily came to the ironic conclusion that if you take a highly intelligent person and give them the best possible, elite education, then you will most likely wind up with an academic who is completely impervious to reality.

Thanks for the welcome.
Asking myself what that unique experience would be :)

This is easy to understand. Each new member brings fresh perspectives to the group.
There is not one member of this forum that will say their thinking has not been challenged by questions of new members.
New viewpoints makes our group stronger and are always welcome.
