Hello!
I am very new to Linux. I had heard about it for years, but was either too hesitant to use it on my only computer, or didn't have the interest. I have been a Windows user my entire life, with some exposure to Mac as well. I got a Raspberry Pi a few months ago, and thought it was pretty fun to play around in Linux. I decided to set up Ubuntu on a VM on my computer, as that was the only distro I knew anything about. I began reading about Linux Mint as the more Windows-like distro, and decided to give it a try. Before I knew it, I was hooked. My first step was to take my college laptop (9 years old at the time, and barely running), and install Mint. It was a little slow, but I was amazed that it still worked. I recently bought a notebook computer for a smaller laptop, and decided I should take the plunge and try Linux Mint on it full time. I installed Mint as the only OS a month ago, and have loved it so far. I'm hoping to become more familar with Linux over time, and try some different distros in the process.
