Hello to all! I am Rick Vansloneker. I had to register to put up a question in the forum, and it's politeness to introduce one-selves. To begin with the worst, I am a Windows administrator. I guess you all hate me now
For several years I had a hard time getting to grips with Linux. Modern distributions make things a lot easier, but if you want something particular often you have to dig deep.
I think, linux in general could be more user friendly particularly towards the ordinary computer user who does not have computer skills but just wants to use it.
I am using Linux for particular tasks, like having my media-server run on Mint. Sticks with Clonezilla and GParted are my main tools. I run linux as main operating system on lighter hardware, and currently I am setting op most of my better systems running both Windows and Linux Mint. Depending on what task to do I may pick one of the two.
I really do like Linux Mint!
