New to the Mint world, struggling with my first install. After nightmares with Windows my intent is to switch permanently to Mint.

I, too, am relatively new, but would like to welcome you, too. This forum, of many Linux fora that I have looked at is unusual in that the members here haven't forgotten what it's like to be a newbie. Enjoy yourself in your "new life"!
