New User with A Vista

Post by DeLoki-42 »

I want to migrate from Microsoft, especially after the latest 1803 updates, and have taken the opportunity to use and old Windows Vista laptop to convert to Linux and am hoping that I will be able move my other machine at a later date.

Hi DeLoki-42 & welcome to our forum
:)

all of my Laptops are Ex Vista PCs and all of them have converted rather nicely to a Linux System.

NB: that Vista was a 32bit system, but you will find that the CPUs are typically a 64bit device.

Welcome aboard, DeLoki-42! I recently installed Mint on a Vista computer for a friend. Linux runs so much faster than Windows, it has to be seen to be believed. As previously mentioned, many of those Vista machines have 64 bit CPUs, as my friend's did.
