Hello, world!

Post by YayPenguins » Fri Jul 06, 2018 10:45 pm

Last summer I googled "what's the best OS for a laptop?"

Now I'm here. :)

I just got my first computer and am gleefully mucking about trying to replace Windows 10 with Mint 19. I have no tech experience so this is all more-or-less trial and error (I'll make good use of these forums!) but I don't mind learning as I go. Been working at it for several hours now and I just figured out how to verify my iso... I'll call it a night and carry on tomorrow. :D

Who else out there started like this??? Let's hear some success stories...

Welcome. YahPenguins! I started out with DOS learning from a book way back when. All I can do is offer encouragement. I still remember the satisfaction of writing my first program in Assembler, and having it work! Never did continue with that, but I did continue with computers and developed some early databases way back then. Enjoy the ride! :D
