Hi all.

I started using Linux Mint at work last year because (1) the old VAIO they gave me was just a mess, and (2) I have wanted to try Linux for a few years and this seemed like the perfect opportunity. I originally registered on this site because I was having some issues with a jumping cursor, but after a bit of searching I figured out how to disable the input devices. One-by-one I found that the touchscreen was the problem and things are back to running smoothly.

I'm here to say that LM 19 is a dream and to thank all of the helpful people on this board. Now I'm off to setup a bash script to keep my touchscreen turned off after reboot and to setup a couple of missing keys on my strangely-configured Japanese keyboard.
