Greetings from Virginia

Post by Boonie »

Talk about an old dog learning new tricks! While this ain't my first rodeo, I am fairly new to the world of Linux - not to mention Mint. After dealing with Windoz over many years, I have no love for the OS. Finally, I had enough and decided to come and play. I must say I am "WOWED"!

Linux has come a long way from when I first started looking into it. Yeah, it's been a few years since I last peeked. It was like throwing back the curtain on a whole new world.

You won't likely see many posts from me for a while as I tend to search extensively for answers before posting questions. I've become pretty adept at finding what I need "on my own" - thanks to the previous efforts of many of you here. I certainly do not know enough to offer any advice to anyone else at this point. At this point all I'd like to do is say "hi" and at least make contact.

Hi@Boonie,
Welcome to the forum.
After dealing with Windoz over many years,
Yep--that pretty much says it all for most of us here.
Good that you found Mint--so congrats on that also
