Hello all. It's been a long time since I had my Bulletin Board in the 90's. Guardian of the Lair....for any of you who were from the NC area back then. I learned the hard way how to get those speedy 2400 baud rate modems to speed up....and when those amazing 9600s came out....Can't even remember that faster one. Wow...it sure has been a long time.
Those were the days when they said we couldn't get a 286 to multi task...or even run win 95 on my old 386...but we did..somehow...until we turned the clock up and over spun em. hahahaha Oh the early days of geek-hood. Sometimes wish I would have kept up with computers...but Uncle Sam had other ideas for my time.
Well, now I've decided to Linux to revive my old gaming computer from 2005...which used to high end...sort of. Now...it's old...vista and grunts louder than I do when I sit down.
I think I better wait to ask my questions and get in to my Acer Aspire R3 131T issues. I'll deal with the old desktop after I can successfully get this little Acer up and running. I'll see if I can find any references...but so far haven't seen any mention of this little computer on any of the forums yet.
Hoping to save my old desktop and this little Acer on Linux and off Windows. Thanks in advance.

Thank you for the warm reception. I'm sure I'll be asking a lot of questions to get up and running next week. I'm done playing for the week...but will pick up on Monday.
Have an awesome weekend all!
