Hello from Colorado

Post by ryan2811 »

My name is Ryan and I love messing around with technology. I love Linux way more than Windows. In fact, I have done a semi-full switch from windows to linux in order to have a safer operating system. I dont know why but I keep being brought to Linux Mint. I have tried Manjaro/ Arch Linux with both operating systems being quick, yet hard to understand the terminal updates for me. I know quite a bit about Ubuntu as I have been using it off and on for about 3 years straight. I may be new to the look and feel of LInux mint, which I am using the Cinnamon version, but I know the controls of Ubuntu almost like the back of my hand. Linux mint is now my main operating system with Windows 10 as my second, and my gaming os. Everything else, I do on Linux

Hi Ryan, welcome. I'm like you, in that I've tried other systems, but always end up with Ubuntu (well Debian really) based systems because I'm just more familiar with the way they work. Been using Debian or derivatives for several years now.

BTW, where is Colorado? Mountains or plains?

Glad to have you one board and Image

Mint Cinnamon is "almost like" Windows in appearance and command keyboard shortcuts.
It is the easiest of all Linux formats to learn.
