Hello from the lake of constanze

Post by thoys »

Hello together,

i life on the german side of the lake fo constanze (Bodensee) and i work as a teacher on a private-school.

I beliefe that free education is only possible in a society with an open mind and open software. So everything depends on everything and its a good thing to support FOSS. And i think that a community is a very big argument for the distro people choose.

Usual i use ubuntu, but i change to cinnamon (in first case, i try to use lmde3), because we use it in my school and Gnome is too big for my tiny screen (Thinkpad x).

Lets have a try :-)

Thoys

Welcome from me too Thoys, I agree that a good community like this is very important when choosing a distro. I also do not like the oversized elements in some modern desktop environments. Everything is getting too big for older laptops, it seems.
