Technology has its benefits and drawbacks.
My first computer was a Sinclair ZX81 circa 1982 with a massive ONE KILObyte (Kb) of RAM
Second was a Sinclair QL 128 Kb, used Sinclair Superbasic programming which I learned.
Thirs was an Amstrad 286 RAM was several Mb used MS-DOS operating system booted from a 5.25 inch floppy disk No HDD
Later added a HDD 104Mb
Started using a GUI programme called "Windows"
Had numerous PC s since 386 486 Pentium etc/ Desktops and Laptops
Operating systems have been Windows 95, XP, Vista, 7, 8.1 (Disaster) and now 10
Have just loaded up Linux Mint 18.3 yesterday, my very first time for Linux and looking forward to Microsft free computing
