Hello from Iowa!
Getting ready to put Linux Mint on a refurbished HP Compaq 6200 Pro. Hoping to use it as a Minecraft server for my family. Looking forward to trying this out!

Re: Hello from Iowa!
Thank you everyone!
I just built a Minecraft server out of a $44 refurbished HP Compaq 6200 Pro with an Intel G620 processor and 4 GB of RAM. I knew running the pre-installed Windows 7 would be a losing battle, so I decided that turning it into Linux box would be my best choice.
My research led me to Linux Mint, and I’ve got to say, it’s been amazing! So easy to install and it’s been flawless since boot up. Really snappy despite the older processor.
I’m also running the alpha of the Minecraft Bedrock server, and I’ve had absolutely no problems so far.
I’m tempted to change my AMD Vision-based laptop to Mint.
