Linux does require some learning. If I didn't have the WIndows background I already have I am certain the Linux path would be a lot easier.
There are many trials and tribulations on the Linux path but there are also many benefits.
I find most Linux distro's WAY better looking than Windows and the resources used are a fragment of what Windows would use.
