Newcomer here! From W10 to Ubuntu to Linux Mint

Hello, folk!

So, that's my short story:

One day I said "Enough for me that Windows 10 updates, bugs, errors...." and I started searching other OS. And everybody told me "No, use Windows, Linux is only for programmers". Then in one forum I found Ubuntu is for simple, basic, newcomer linux users. So I choose Ubuntu. And after one month I decided use smth more original. Linux Mint. This version (Cinnamon) is one of the best and nice OS ever I saw . I don't know how to use Linux, how to solve problems and how to make snapshot backups, but still, it's very nice, smooth for me!

I hope community here are also friendly and I'll discover here many about Linux .

hi Kibiras and welcome...i also was once a windows refugee back in 2016...i tossed it all and went headlong into Linux totally determined to learn it as i had once learned windows...i found it easier and more intuitive than windows ever was or could ever be...heck, i didnt even sign up to the LM forum until i had six months under my belt and finally had a question...lol...welcome once again to what i consider to be the best all around linux forum out there...DAMIEN

It is unfortunate that I have to announce I hold dual citizenship. Due to some programmes that I want to hold on to, my laptop dual boots and co-habits with Windows7.
