I am not really new to Linux mint, having used a number of versions, back to 13.x or older.
I switched to Ubuntu for some features it supposedly had, that turned out to not really be as good for me.
A: it has an updater that fails tp work.
B: It does not have all of the features I wanted.
Matter of fact, I just installed ubuntu Studios latest version, and find the editors wanting
I edit a lot of pictures, and I get tired of viewing them in one program, and have to then open a second program every time I want to edit, even though many edits are only crops and enhancements.
I can never find their program add ons like I can with Mint.
So, later tonight, I'll be installing Mint 19.1 Cinnamon.
BTW, I have used most, if not all, of the desktops Mint has available.
Cinnamon is good, and I see it takes less of the available ram and things to run.
Which is good, because I have a habit of having a number of browser windows and a ton of tabs.............
So, once installed, I'll be adding a number of the programs I used to use that manage to work better anyway.
Will be good to be back
