Greetings from France

Post by PhilippeH »

Hello

I subscribed to this forum some time ago but never came to introduce myself. As I am very likely to stick around, here it goes.

I live in south-eastern France in Toulon, by the sea. I have been fiddling with web servers for the past 20 years, mostly on Linux systems, but decided to use Mint only about two years ago for my laptop and desktop everyday use. I had been studying the different distributions available, and I opted for Mint Cinnamon. It worked immediately and has ever since. Changed disks, computers, upgraded or clean installed, the out-of-the-box functions still rock. Never had a second thought.

I have since experienced the very helpful resources that I could find here, most of the time without having to ask directly: the problems I encountered had been solved already, it was just for me a matter of search terms. On a few occasions, I had to ask here, and was very pleased with the result: kind and knowledgeable people helped me every time, quickly and accurately. I hope I will be able to help others in such manner.

Many many thanks to all who make this website and distribution!
