I love Win7, and that's why I'm using Mint
I've been a Microsoft user since I bought a 286 with DOS 4. I've had DOS 5,6,Win95,Win98,WinME,XP and am currently on Win7. I looked at Win8 and it's interface, and said no thanks. Support for Win7 will be ending soon but I won't be stuck with that buggy, tiled piece of spyware known as Win10 thanks to Mint 19.1. It works well and the learning curve is probably easier than Win10. Playing in Terminal brings back fond memories of the power of DOS.
Someone said that Win8 and Win10 are the best things that happened to Linux, and I couldn't agree more.
A massive THANK YOU to the Linux Mint dev team !!
And now I get to show off the coolest wallpaper evarrrr.

ps I am not the artist, I just needed a username and that one popped into my head.

Welcome Polex-P. Seems you got Mint up and running but if you encounter any problems or have questions: that's what this forum is for!
Unless stated otherwise Mint 18.3-64 XFCE

That's probably true. I was never in love with Win 7 but in retrospect it was better than what came afterwards. It was win 8.1 that drove me to Linux after one year of use. Fortunately I found Mint before Windows drove me crazy.
