Hello from Mexico

Post by XE1UFO »

Hello, my friends.

My first computer ( ) was a Commodore Vic 20 with 4 kByte memory, a cassette tape unit for saving your files and the TV as a monitor. I used it most for Morse Code and Radio Teletype on ham radio (I am XE1UFO here in Mexico and KA5SUT in the U.S.) And I still have my Commodore, though I have not fired it up in several decades.

I am not new to Linux. I started way back when Mandrake 7.3 was sold on a CD at Wal-Mart. After that I moved to Red Hat 7, then tried several dozen other distros, and then finally discovered Ubuntu. About seven years ago I discovered Linux Mint and now use it on all of my machines. I spend around 80% of my computer hours on Linux and the rest on WIndows 10.

Still trying to learn Wine+.

Blessings.
