Hello from S.E. Idaho. New to Mint and I am hoping for a great experience. Been doing alot of research on OSs since I got the notification on Win 7 no longer being supported and since I have a great reluctance to use Win 10, I came here. Looking forward to learning this system. Been computing since my VIC 20 and my first Windows (DOS) version 3.0. Hope to talk to some of you all out there.

After posting a couple questions on the software board, I am very impressed with the help the community provides noobs, I have my Mint disks ordered and on their way here. Thanks for the warm welcome and the help provided so far. I am sure I will have more questions as I get into the OS and have confidence that it will all go well. Thanks to all in the community in advance.

You're welcome! :) In the interim, if you're interested, have a read of the Installation Guide. And the Easy Linux Tips Project is quite informative as well.
