Hello everyone!

Post by Morphine »

I'm new, I just installed my first Linux. Kinda overwhelmed, I can't lie. Everything is a bit confusing, but I'm sure I'll get used to it. Any advice on how to do it properly and not freak myself out would be great haha

Hello, and welcome! Take it easy... step by step.
I would suggest that you simply try to use the system much as you used whatever you used before... for most people that means: open a browser, and visit your favourite websites. Aim for the stuff you know, so you'll see something familiar.
And no worries, we're all been there and most of us made it work! And so will you.

Hi Morphie, Murray's recommendation is a good one, BUT I'd spend a few days becoming familiar with your new System first. As Moem has suggested, play around with the stuff that you are likely to be familiar with first. Many of the recommendations in that list are great, but like insurance for your car, it won't stop running without it.

I will! It's only my first day, I'd rather not rush anything. Thank you for the advice :)
