Hello from Sweden

Post by cedermark »

Hi guys!

I'm a web developer who started using Linux approx 18 months ago and has been distrohopping since.
So far I've used Lubuntu, Ubuntu, Manjaro, elementaryOS and Mint and have become especially fond of Linux Mint. I keep switching between Mate and the Cinnamon desktop environment(and love how easy the switching is).

Cinnamon is just so good! I've been on both Windows and OSX recently and still have to use Windows quite a lot (yes, at work), I find it really interesting to compare the three OS'es.

The last thing I'd like to point out is my observation from the dev community where so many people are using Arch(not counting Manjaro here) which I have not tried yet, and if you're a dev and haven't made it to that distro along with a story of how your fingers bled and you had to sacrifice one of your neighbours kids in order to complete the installation - your not one of the cool kids. I'm sure I'll try Arch some time in the future but for now I'm a super happy Mint user that enjoys how well put together everything is and love the increase in in performance compared to Win10.
