It's all the Raspberry Pi's fault!

Post by rangioran »

So, finaly decided that it's time I took the plunge and try to get to grips with Linux! Always had a yen for all things technological and after dusting off the Pi1 and Pi3, then buying a couple of Pi4's and dabbling a little in Debian I figured that I really ought to go the whole hog and install Linux Mint on my Windows 10 laptop.
I'm quite confident that I'll soon be asking all sorts of inane questions - please be gently with me :D

Welcome rangioran!

I've got a couple of Raspberry Pi's at home, one is used for Kodi and hooked up to my TV (rarely have to drop down to the CLI level) and the other is sitting in a draw waiting for me to find and interesting project for it. They're great little computers!

The Pi is a "gateway drug" to Linux. ;-)

Welcome to Mint. I have two RPi 3's one of which is hooked up to an old MacBook Pro display that I mounted into a picture frame. They're really fun to mess around with.
