Baby steps
Baby steps
Hello world of Linux
I abandoned the command line in favour of the GUI long ago, so I am effectively born again
All things pass, Windows 7 is no exception. Currently running 7Pro on a 10 year old Dell Optiplex.
It actually runs great, video streaming is smooth, it only slows down noticeably when I'm editing.
Recently I have noticed some web pages starting to break. Guess it's time to update.
I have no desire to install Win 10, judging from the way it bogged down my HP laptop that came with W8 installed.
Nice 'upgrade' Microsoft.
Picked up another old desktop to dip my toes in the Mint environment before my trusty Optiplex gets relegated.
If I can learn enough to gain equivalent enjoyment without too many headaches, I'll consider that a win.
