Hello from Virginia
Hello from Virginia
I've been using Linux in one form or another for about 12 years. I was introduced to Linux while serving in Iraq and have been using it since then. I was using Sabayon version, but since I had an older laptop 32 bit, it did not work well. I installed Linux in 2009 and have been using Mint ever since. I never really thought I needed to use this forum because I thought I could find solutions to problems I've had over the years by searching online. So, why am I here now? Because I recognize all the Mint experts are here and I'm tired of searching everywhere else for solutions. So, I'm not a new user, but I do have questions I can't find answers to and hope that the experts will help. Also, I'm comfortable using the terminal if the only solution is to do so. Anyway, thank you in advance for any help for the questions I ask.

Re: Hello from Virginia
Welcome from an unusually hot and humid England. We dodged tonight's storms where I am, by the way .. shame as I love watching the show.

I understand the heat, served in Germany many years ago with the US Army and got to visit parts of England while I was there. Now retired and learning more and more about Linux. Do you know of any Linux application for video conferencing? I could do it with Apple phone if my phone was the latest one on the market, but I really really don't want to have to buy a new phone. Appreciate any suggestions you might have.

Re: Hello from Virginia
I've been using Skype for Linux for a while now. It does support multiple participants although you can only have one active call per account.
Not sure if there's a limit on participants; likely down to available monitor real-estate & your internet bandwidth.
