New from Scotland

Post by ken49 »

Hello All,
I've just joined the forum though I've been using Linux Mint Cinnamon 19.3 for about 5-6 months. I probably should have introduced myself first but as I joined after having my first problem my first post was on that. I glad to say that that problem has already been solved. I have a little bit of linux knowledge based on using Puppy Linux, but I'm no expert, so I think using Mint will be a bit of a learning curve for me.

Regards,

Ken.

A belated welcome from England .. I've been up to Scotland several times, most recently drove up to the western Highlands & also went over to Skye for a bit of "trail-blazing". Weather, views and beer all awesome. :D

Hi BG405,
Thanks for the welcome. Glad you enjoyed your visit to Scotland. I've got quite a lot of links the other way including two English Granddaughters and have been in England a lot over the years.

Regards,

Ken.

Thanks, I have a good mate who is Scottish who lives locally (most of his rellies still live there) and have some Scottish ancestry myself along with Welsh, Cornish and likely various European ancestry.

Scotland is a beautiful country and it is only an eight or nine hour drive from where I live. Well worth it. :D

ETA:
Avoid Glasgow's congested overpasses during rush-hour (I didn't) and use the A9 instead if you're heading west..
