Hello, everybody. I just switched to Mint XFCE; I was using another lightweight distro and most of the time I was happy with it, but the "support" (via forum) was so poor and the developer such a haughty SOB that yesterday when I had a failure to boot after a system update and I got the usual non-helpful answer from him I decided to go to Mint. i ended up formatting the startup disk and installing Mint on it, which went very smoothly. Hoping that with a bigger member base I will be able to get more help on those occasions when I need it.
I'm a retired musician; I do most of my music on a Windows PC (which I dislike, but linux just can't compete when it comes to music), but my internet stuff is all linux, as well as some less important music. (I always have a copy of Reaper handy for practice tracks.)
Anyway, hi, and I hope I don't need your help soon, LOL.
