novice linux user

Post by truthlifestyle »

I'm new to the Linux world and it showed greatly as I spent the last few days learning how to get my HP desktop back to working properly. I had it all working great and than I started to experiment with different options using the terminal and than my Wi-Fi/Ethernet stopped working  . I came to this site and through reading just about everything I could on how to get my network functioning I came across a thread that more or less stated it'd be best to just re-install the Linux Mint OS. I do love how customizable Linux is and I'm going to play around (while keeping in mind my tendency to "brick" my desktop functions) with using multiple distros.

The team here on this Forum is extensive and I'm greatly appreciative of all the help I've gotten just by reading posts and the responses. A solid community! I'm stoked to learning with you all..

Hello truthlifestyle,
Welcome to Linux Mint Forums, enjoy! :)
Most of us have been where you are and one of the best ways to learn Linux is to experiment and break things. Then fix them. Enjoy the process.
Cheers!
