Hi people! I was born in Argentina, but I live in Israel . I'm new to Mint, but not to Linux. My first contact with Linux was back in 1994 with the first version of Slackware, after a year or 2, I moved to Debian. I used Debian for many years, they I got away from the tech world, and a while ago I've come back I put Debian on my old laptop. I bought a new laptop and since it has 2 HDDs I used one for Linux. I had some problems with hardware with Debian . I love Debian, its security and stability, but most of the time that stability comes with the cost of being a bit behind on hardware detection when you're using new hardware, after a bit of back and forward I found some solutions in the non-free section of Debian, but not great support either. On the other hand Ubuntu is really good with new hardware, but I don't really like it, some of the philosophy behind it, the GUI, etc. on my research I come across with Mint, Ubuntu based, but IMHO it really doesn't look like Ubuntu, I love cinnamon and also flatpak is way better that snap .
Nothing more to say I'm officially converted.

Shalom!
You're lucky to live in a country where everything is (almost) back to normal and COVID-19 is essentially just a bad memory. We're still months away from that in The Netherlands....
