hi you guys I'm emo

Post by user6c57b8 »

hi everyone.
I'm emo.
which means I'm always sad.
nothing makes me happy.
blah.
I use Linux Mint 17.3 XFCE edition.
17.3 is fresh.
Some people tell me: you gotta get Linux Mint 20.2 XFCE edition
I tell them "0%yes". 17.3 gives me everything I could ever want.

Hello Emo,
Welcome to Linux Mint Forums.
The reason they are telling you you should upgrade to 20.2 or even 19.x is because 17.x has been end of life since April 2019. If your using that machine on the internet you are very vulnerable to security attacks. since it will not have received and security or other updates since 2019.

Now is the time to be "sad" since you have had no real protection from any of the bad guys for over 2 years now...DAMIEN

I 3% agree that I'm vulnerable to people over the Internet.
I have hardly any open ports.
I'm 93% sure I'm fine. and I'm 98% sure of that. and I'm 94% sure of that.

On what evidence do you base those percentages? Just curious.
