If you open MintMenu>Internet>XChat you will be automatically connected to our IRC channels #linuxmint-help and #linuxmint-chat

Welcome JD,

It's good to just jump right in. I did so about 18 months ago. This is a good community to help a new person, in fact I just saw a review which stated that in a magazine today.

Ask questions when you need help. Please help us help you by giving enough information about the situation and your hardware/software when you post your question.
